I'm selling this item as I'm decluttering my collection of unique kimonos and obi that I love.
This is a Nagoya obi with a pink background and black clouds, featuring a phoenix embroidered with Japanese embroidery on the otaiko (back) part. It's a very distinctive piece.
I bought it, unable to take my eyes off it, wondering how Sheila Cliffe or Kimono Sankaku would style it... but I couldn't pull it off with my own sense of style, so I haven't worn it myself.
I inspected it, and there are no major flaws, but please understand that this is an antique/vintage item before purchasing. Thank you.
