Emergency Lighting Conversion Kit by RS PRO

Modules that combine charging and inverting capabilities, enabling the conversion of fluorescent luminaires into emergency lighting units. These modules, along with their battery packs, can fit inside most modern fluorescent batten fittings. For luminaires with restricted internal dimensions or temperatures exceeding 50°C, remote mounting boxes are also provided. The remote box can convert double luminaires into emergency units, but only one tube will function under emergency conditions. Two live power supplies are needed for regular operation, one switched and one unswitched. If the unswitched supply fails, the changeover circuit engages, activating the battery supply. A red LED, included with the module, can be installed in either the luminaire or remote box to indicate a healthy battery charging state. The nickel-cadmium battery packs are safeguarded against deep discharge.
