Bird Thing - It's

Each of my illustrations hides animals, humans, or objects. This squirrel holds 64 concealed creatures and one Chaz face. I often incorporate my face into my drawings. The artwork is created using Rotring Rapidograph pens, with tips as fine as .13mm, on 100-pound acid-free bristol board with a plate finish. I begin with a pencil sketch, then search for shapes of smaller animals to add, building the drawing like a puzzle. The final step is inking it in. These drawings aim to provide a respite from the fast-paced world, encouraging thoughts about nature and its incredible inhabitants.
